What a Superbuy order costs

Two stages, five components in the second one, and a menu of thirty four optional services. Every figure on this page carries the page it was read from.

First payment

Stage one: getting the item into the warehouse

Three parts: what the item costs on the marketplace, what the Chinese courier charges to bring it to the warehouse, and the purchasing service fee. The operator adds nothing to the first two.

Where you bought itPurchasing service feeNotes
Taobao, Tmall, JD.com, 1688no feeNo purchasing service fee on these platforms.
Xianyu, Paipai, Zhuanzhuanflat CN¥20Flat CN¥20 per DI (inbound order record), not per physical piece.
Kongfz and other second-hand platforms10%, CN¥10 to CN¥2010% of item value, floor CN¥10, cap CN¥20.
Platforms not on the supported list10%, CN¥10 to CN¥2010% of item value, floor CN¥10, cap CN¥20.
Shipping Expert (pre-sales, limited editions)10%, CN¥20 to CN¥30010% of item value, floor CN¥20, cap CN¥300.

The free bracket covers the platforms most people use, which is why the service reads as free at the point of ordering. The fee appears when you go outside them.

Worked example

The operator’s own worked example

Taobao clothing item with detailed photos: CN¥100 for the item, CN¥10 domestic shipping, CN¥0 service fee and CN¥3 for photos, totalling CN¥113.

One detail is worth flagging because it is the operator contradicting itself. The example charges CN¥3 for detailed photos. The service menu further down the same page prices the same service at CN¥2 per piece. Both numbers were on screen together. Treat the menu as the live price and the example as illustrative.

Second payment

Stage two: getting the parcel to you

Five components, only two of which you can influence:

ComponentWhat it isCan you change it?
First weightThe starting charge for the first unit of chargeable weight, often 500 gOnly by changing route
Continued weightCharged per additional unit after the firstYes, by packing lighter and smaller
Customs clearanceImport taxes levied by your country on category and declared value, borne by the recipientNo
Fuel surchargeA percentage added on top of base freightNo
Operation feeWarehouse handling: storage, sorting, packingNo

The published example puts a 1000 g parcel on a Hong Kong UPS line at CN¥428: CN¥320 first weight, CN¥50 continued weight, CN¥38 customs, with fuel surcharge and operation fee both showing zero on that line.

The first weight can account for a large share of the example bill. Combining eligible items can avoid repeated first-weight charges, but compare the final packed dimensions and weight: a larger box can change the chargeable weight or available routes.

Optional

The optional menu, and the three things on it that cost nothing

Thirty four services are priced individually, across four groups: photography, inspection, speed and packing. The list below is everything except packing. The packing half runs to twenty entries and sits in the picture underneath, with its own prices on each card. Nothing here is applied unless you ask for it.

  • Speedy ResponseCN¥5per DO
  • Extend Storage PeriodCN¥10per DI/per month
  • Split Order/Discard ItemCN¥2per DI

Prices as published on the fee page, read 2026-10-10. Units are the operator’s own: PCS is per piece, DI is per inbound record, DO is per outbound record.

The dated menu lists simple packaging, brand tag removal and package removal at zero. Removing unnecessary packaging may reduce weight or volume, but first check whether you need the original box for protection or a possible return. Confirm the current service charge when you request it.

This previews one purchasing/inbound order record (DI), with the quantity on that record. The flat second-hand fee is applied once per DI; percentage brackets use that record’s total item value. Separate records can carry separate fees. Confirm the actual first payment before paying; international shipping is not included.

Preview stage one before you pay it

This works out the first payment only, using the published brackets and the menu prices above. It cannot price stage two, because that needs the finished weight, all three dimensions, the item category and a route, none of which exist yet at this point in the process.

Optional services on this item

Rates are the operator’s published figures as read on 2026-10-10. If your account shows different numbers, your account is right and this page is stale.

In their words

What the operator says about its own pricing

The fee page closes with its own questions and answers about transparency, whether value-added services are mandatory, and when the international shipping fee is charged. It is worth reading in the original, because it is the clearest statement of what they consider a hidden fee.

The answer that matters most for budgeting is the last one: the shipping fee is charged upfront on estimated weight and reconciled against verified weight later.
