Ordering through Superbuy, step by step
Nine official steps, two of which are payments. Here is what each one asks of you and where first orders usually go wrong.
Path
Two ways a link becomes an order
Superbuy says it can capture the details of 99% of listings on Taobao, Tmall and JD.com. When capture works, you pick colour, size and quantity on its own screen and add the item to a cart like any other shop.
When it fails, a manual form appears instead, titled "Fill in A Shopping Agent Order". You copy the attributes across yourself. This is where wrong sizes come from: the listing names them in Chinese, and the form will accept whatever you type.
The practical rule is to screenshot the listing before you fill anything in, so you are copying from a frozen picture rather than from a page that may have changed variant while you were reading it.
Both paths are step two of the operator’s guide. official page·checked 2026-10-10

The flow
The nine steps, and what each one commits
Stage one
Find the item
Paste a link, or search and pick. Nothing is committed yet.
Stage one
Submit the order
Attributes are captured automatically, or typed by you into the manual form.
Stage one
Pay for the item
Item price plus Chinese domestic delivery. Payment methods include cards, Wise, Alipay, WeChat Pay, UnionPay, bank transfer and Bitcoin. This payment is what releases the buyer to go shopping.
Stage one
They buy it
A buyer contacts the seller. The order enquiry thread is your only channel into that conversation, and it is worth using if the listing was ambiguous.
Warehouse
Inspection and storage
Quality-check photos are taken at no charge and the item is stored. The free window is 90 days. Items bought from 1688 are inspected to a different standard, which the operator states but does not expand on.
Stage two
Submit the parcel
You choose which stored items go in the box and which route it takes. Some items are barred from some routes.
Stage two
Pay the shipping deposit
Charged on estimated weight. The final bill is reconciled against the weight the carrier verifies, in either direction.
Stage two
Packing and dispatch
Consolidation, any packing services you bought, then weighing and handover.
Delivery
Tracking and review
Tracking runs under the carrier. Completing the review earns credit that can be set against a later delivery fee.

Step six
The warehouse screen is where the real decisions are
Steps one to five are shopping. Step six is logistics, and it is the screen that decides most of your bill. You select stored items, and the system offers routes that will accept that combination.
Two things are worth knowing before you get there. Consolidating several items into one parcel is free, so there is rarely a reason to ship items separately unless a restriction forces it. And the route list shrinks as you add problem items: batteries, liquids and blades each remove options rather than adding cost.
If one item is blocking a route you want, the split order service exists for exactly that, priced at CN¥2 per inbound record.

Step seven
Why the shipping charge changes after you pay it
What you pay at step seven is a deposit calculated from estimated weight, the route you picked and the destination. The carrier then weighs and measures the finished box, and the difference is settled afterwards.
This is normal and it is published, but it catches people who budgeted to the cent. The size of the gap depends on how much air your packing contains, which is the one part of it you can influence.

Before step one
How to judge whether an agent is trustworthy
Before the nine steps matter at all, you are deciding whether to hand a stranger your money. Five things are checkable from a browser in about five minutes, and they are worth running on any agent, not just this one.
- Is there a named company? This one publishes DOT TECHNOLOGY HONG KONG LIMITED, registered in Hong Kong under number 72396324, with a street address. A brand with no legal entity behind it is a brand you cannot pursue.
- Is the fee structure written down? Published brackets, caps and a worked example beat a promise of low fees.
- Is there an escalation path that is not a chat widget? The help centre publishes an address that goes above customer service, with a stated two working day turnaround.
- Are announcements dated and kept? A notice board with old entries still visible is harder to fake than a fresh marketing page.
- Is there a counterfeit policy and a way to report? A dedicated reporting address means somebody has thought about the problem.
None of this says an agent is good at its job. It says there is somebody to hold responsible, which is a different and more basic question.

Questions about ordering
How long does step four take?
It depends on the seller, not on Superbuy. The operator sells a speedy response service at CN¥5 per outbound record if you want your order pushed to the front of the queue, which tells you the default is a queue.
Can I add an item after paying stage one?
Yes. Items sit in the warehouse until you submit a parcel, so most people run several stage one orders and then one stage two. That is what the free storage window is for.
What if the seller sends the wrong thing?
That is what the inspection photos are for, and why it is worth looking at them rather than clicking through. What the photos do and do not cover.
